Fashion has always been a form of self-expression for Anusha. Simultaneously, living in California allowed her to witness the effects of the climate crisis firsthand, from severe droughts to extreme wildfires. She was shocked to learn about the severe environmental impact of the fashion industry. Observing the deep cultural significance of textile weaving across cultures inspired her to connect communities through conscious fashion choices.
